Latest Info
November News!
October was a banner month for screenings of Tak-related films all over the world, and the end of October saw the release of some very cool news: information about Tak’s latest confirmed project, The Blood of Wolves.
Though there are no major events yet scheduled for this month, there is a DVD release on the horizon, and Tak has been hard at work in Crimea for the last couple weeks. I’m still hoping to work on the translation of backlogged articles and interviews from 2007, but I’m not holding my breath. The language school is kicking my ass. Read on for the latest news…
Tak in Crimea!
Last month, Karasawa began sporadically making posts to Pegasus Fantasy about the filming project he and Tak were working on. Very little is known about the shoot at this point. The film is being shot in Crimea, an autonomous region in the Ukraine, and appears to be a contemporary piece (as opposed to a period piece). More details should emerge after filming wraps this month.
The Blood of Wolves!
Tak’s latest confirmed project is titled The Blood of Wolves. It’s currently being shopped around the American Film Market with an expected start date of 2010 and a completion date that seems to depend largely on funding. Earlier this year, Tak and close friend Shimomura Yûji began work on a project tentatively titled “Wolf” (see this post for more info), and this film may be related to that endeavor. But then again, it might not. ;> More details should unfold in the coming days, so please continue to keep it here for the very latest!
