About the Site

Originally…
…this blog was established to translate the entries from Sakaguchi Taku no kimyô na bôken (Tak Sakaguchi’s Strange Adventures) and the Team ZERO’S blog, Pegasus Fantasy, both maintained by Tak’s action coordinator Karasawa Isao. However, the site has grown considerably in scope since its launch in November 2008.

Today…
…this site is dedicated not just to translating, and therefore making available in English, a wide variety of Tak-related resources found only in Japanese, but also to locating any and all non-Japanese Tak-related resources. My aim with this blog is to benefit (native and non-native) English-speaking fans of Tak who may have no other way to keep up with what’s going on with his various projects.  While I still provide translations for the two official blogs, I also translate information about Tak’s latest film projects from alternate news sources, provide translations of recent and past online print and media interviews, and search out links to non-Japanese Tak information sites and news postings.

Format…
…is fairly straightforward.  Translated blog entries are posted under the original date-and-time-stamp of the source blog (to maintain consistency) and are written only in English. Any original images are uploaded.  I don’t hotlink, and neither should you.  A link is provided to the original blog post for interested parties to peruse at their leisure.  I also include notes when I feel something in the text is not obvious to the casual reader. (You can access an uncluttered display of the blog posts by clicking on the tabs in the header bar.) Posts of random news are uploaded as I get around to them and are never backdated. Articles and interviews are given their own individual pages, located in the sidebar, and organized chronologically under the heading “Print Media.”

As an aside, all Japanese names (with the exception of “Tak Sakaguchi”) are presented in the traditional format of family name/given name in all of the in-text citations and blog tags.

Disclaimers…
…for everyone’s peace of mind.

One: Please be aware that I am not a native speaker of Japanese, nor do I have the assistance of a native speaker in these translations.  If you feel that I have made a mistake (which is all-too-possible), please feel free to contact me about it.  I want this information to be as accurate as possible.
Two: All materials posted to this site remain the intellectual property of their respective authors.  They are used in accordance with United States Fair Use Laws. Wherever possible I indicate the original author of the material.  If you would like to link to, or reference, this site or entries on this site, you are free to do so.  However, I would appreciate your crediting me with the translation of any materials.  In the event that I receive help from an outside party, translation credit will be given to that person and citations should include them as well.

AND FINALLY:
I am not affiliated in any way, shape, or form with Tak Sakaguchi or his associates.  I have never met him.  I do not know how to contact him.  I cannot put you in touch with him.

Thank you very much and enjoy the site!
